Savouring Tradition: The Legacy of Duart Homestead

At Duart Homestead, we are proud to offer a taste of history with every event. Our Victorian-style homestead was built in 1883 and has hosted events for countless families, businesses, and organizations.

We specialize in providing an authentic, elegant experience for all of our guests. Our ballroom is the perfect venue for larger events and can comfortably seat up to 120 guests, while our smaller event spaces are perfect for more intimate gatherings. Whether you're looking for a traditional indoor ballroom setting or a beautifully manicured outdoor garden event, Duart Homestead has everything you need to make your event unforgettable.

Duart Homestead was originally built in 1883 as the Maffra home of Hon. Allan McLean, a prominent local businessman who later went on to become Premier of Victoria in 1899, and in 1901, was named Gippsland's first Federal Representative.

The homestead itself was named after Duart Castle in Scotland, the seat of the Clan McLean
