The Legacy of Duart Homestead
Built in 1883, Duart Homestead is a cherished landmark steeped in history and sophistication. Originally the Maffra residence of Hon. Allan McLean - a prominent businessman, Premier of Victoria in 1899, and Gippsland's first Federal Representative - the homestead was named after Duart Castle in Scotland, the ancestral seat of the Clan McLean.
With its stunning Victorian architecture, meticulously maintained gardens, and rich heritage, Duart Homestead blends timeless charm with modern comforts. Lovingly restored over the years, the property offers a grand yet welcoming atmosphere that few venues can rival.
